Broken time – 2

The picture might not be great, but the story behind the subject is.

During World War II, in Italy, a bombing destroyed my grandfather’s cobbler shop. At that time the shop was empty, since everybody had rushed to an underground shelter nearby. The building collapsed. Only one wall remained intact, and it had this clock on it. The time stopped at 2:40 approximately.

On the bottom right corner of the clock, a wasps’ nest that was later removed. On the upper right corner of the picture, part of a set of wrought iron scales. Under the clock and on the left side of the picture, peacock feathers.
